Geotechnical Engineering Role
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Ireland. The role involves conducting geotechnical investigations, analyzing soil and rock properties, and providing expert recommendations for construction and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform site investigations and soil sampling to assess the geotechnical properties of the ground.
* Collect, analyze, and interpret soil, rock, and groundwater data to inform project decisions.
* Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and recommendations to ensure safe and efficient construction.
* Design foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks to mitigate potential hazards.
* Conduct slope stability and settlement analysis to identify potential risks.
* Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards to minimize liability.
* Conduct fieldwork while adhering to strict safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in geotechnical engineering with a strong track record of delivering successful projects.
* Proficiency in geotechnical software and analysis tools to streamline workflows.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
* Excellent communication and report-writing abilities to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
* Full driving license and willingness to travel for fieldwork.
