As a Mechanical Engineering Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence and equipment reliability within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide hands-on leadership and mentoring to the maintenance team, driving efficiency and productivity.
* Collaborate with production and quality departments to ensure seamless operations and optimal results.
* Lead and promote a strong safety culture across all engineering activities, prioritizing employee well-being and risk management.
* Develop and maintain a robust preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
* Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance tasks effectively, leveraging technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
* Oversee the control and procurement of spare parts, ensuring timely delivery and efficient inventory management.
* Ensure compliance with external contractor service schedules and monitor contractor performance, fostering partnerships and optimizing outcomes.
* Participate in daily shift meetings, providing updates on maintenance activities and addressing operational issues, promoting transparency and open communication.
* Contribute to manpower planning and resource allocation with the Engineering Manager, aligning resources with business objectives and priorities.
* Support and lead continuous improvement and factory upgrade projects, driving innovation and growth through collaborative efforts.
Qualifications & Experience:
* A minimum of 2 years experience in an Engineering Lead or Supervisor role, demonstrating technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
* Strong background in electrical and mechanical fault finding, with a proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
* Proven experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment adhering to GMPs, SOPs, and KPIs, showcasing adaptability and regulatory compliance.
* Skilled in planning and executing maintenance schedules, with experience in panel building, PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA systems highly advantageous.
* Competency in Lean, Six Sigma, and project management methodologies, with experience in condition monitoring, root cause analysis, OEE systems, and continuous improvement projects beneficial.
* Familiarity with managing budgets and engineering-related procurement, with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills essential for success.
* Exposure to regulatory, corporate, and customer audits/inspections, with the ability to navigate complex compliance requirements and stakeholder expectations.
