Job Title: Resident Engineer for Wastewater Projects

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of wastewater projects in County Donegal.
Key Responsibilities:
* Specialize in Mechanical & Electrical elements of the works with an emphasis on commissioning.
* Driving delivery of projects on site, focusing on health & safety, time management, cost optimization, and ensuring the project meets quality standards.
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with contract documents.
* Verify that materials incorporated into permanent work and workmanship comply with applicable specifications.
* Monitor and report on works progress to Employer's Requirements.
* Inform relevant stakeholders of issues arising on site.
* Implement Uisce Éireann safety policies and standards on construction projects.
* Review and comment on project/site specific HSQE documentation.
* Comply with contract health and safety requirements and contractors' proposals.
* Carry out weekly documented health & safety site reviews and follow up on satisfactory close-out of health & safety issues.
* Report any accidents or incidents on site and assist with investigation and corrective actions.
* Participate in Uisce Éireann HSQE team monthly inspections and confirm satisfactory close-out of identified issues.
Requirements:
* At least 7 years' post-graduate experience, including 4 years' industry experience in site supervision, contract administration, commissioning, and project management of MEICA works on water/wastewater engineering projects.
* A degree in a related discipline, such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Knowledge of civil engineering works, Mechanical & Electrical Works, design-build-operate projects, and project management.
* Ability to write clear and concise reports and maintain works records.
* Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
* Satisfactory knowledge of construction contracts, with FIDIC and Public Works forms of contract advantageous but not essential.
* A current and valid SafePass card and Confined Spaces training.
