Description
We are hiring for our client, a leading food manufacturing business in North Co. Dublin, who are seeking a High Care Supervisor to support operations within a high-care environment.
This High Care Supervisor role is centred around maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and health & safety while leading a team to deliver efficient stock control, accurate order fulfilment, and consistent daily performance. The successful High Care Supervisor will be hands-on, people-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced production setting where standards and attention to detail matter.

The Role
* Ensure all goods received and dispatched meet strict food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
* Uphold food safety, quality, and health & safety standards, reviewing processes and implementing improvements.
* Lead daily team briefs to communicate targets, allocate tasks, provide feedback, and drive engagement.
* Oversee stock segregation, storage, and rotation to ensure strong inventory accuracy and control.
* Manage staffing levels, rosters, overtime, and compliance with Working Time Directive requirements.
* Delegate daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure accountability and follow-through.
* Drive timely order processing and dispatch to meet customer deadlines and achieve a high order fill rate.
* Ensure staff are fully trained and signed off for assigned tasks, maintaining accurate training records.
* Enforce PPE compliance and safe working practices across the shift.
* Proactively identify issues, implement corrective/preventative actions, and support continuous improvement.
* Manage waste control and disposal in line with policy, ensuring appropriate sign-off.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across all relevant areas (dispatch, storage, fridges/freezers, yard, etc.).
* Co-ordinate with drivers to support smooth dispatch, reducing delays and improving communication.
* Ensure paperwork and reporting is completed accurately and on time, escalating issues to management.
* Work closely with internal teams to resolve issues relating to incoming/outgoing orders and operational priorities.
The Person
* Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience within food manufacturing (ideally in a similar high-care environment).
* Strong understanding of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and compliance expectations.
* HACCP and/or health & safety certification is desirable.
* Confident leader with the ability to motivate, manage, and develop teams on shift.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail (stock control, paperwork, compliance).
* Calm under pressure, proactive problem-solver, and focused on continuous improvement.
* Good working knowledge of rostering, overtime control, and working time compliance.
* Comfortable using basic IT systems (Microsoft Office / email / reporting tools).
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent required (third-level qualification in food/logistics/management is advantageous).
