Warehouse Operative Job Type: Full-time - permanent Location: Ballymoney Salary: £12.31 plus bonus Our client based in Ballymoney has a requirement for a Warehouse Operative to join the team.
The successful applicant will play a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence and high customer satisfaction.
This position involves working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to develop and maintain operational systems that exceed customer standards.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining our reputation through high standards and excellent service.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Receive and check incoming stock in accordance with company goods-in processes, ensuring compliance with date and temperature requirements and prompt storage.
Pick customer orders accurately, following company processes and maintaining temperature disciplines.
Load and dispatch outgoing orders in line with company procedures.
Replenish stock following the first expiry first out rule.
Assist with regular and spot stock takes as required.
Operate forklift trucks, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted and warehouse guidelines are followed.
Ensure all stock is stored, handled, and transported securely, complying with food hygiene legislation and health and safety guidelines.
Maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment, adhering to company and legislative standards.
Take responsibility for your own health and safety and that of others, adhering to company safety and quality systems, and reporting any incidents or suggestions.
Dispose of food and packaging waste safely and in line with company processes, recycling wherever possible.
Support and train newly appointed or less experienced colleagues.
Provide cover for absent colleagues and keep updated on processes to ensure effective performance.
Perform other duties as required for the smooth running of the business.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience.
Basic knowledge of health and safety; full training will be provided.
Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Knowledge of Food Hygiene.
Desirable: Forklift license.
