Accounts Assistant – 9 Month Contract

A+F Recruitment is partnering with an organisation in the manufacturing sector to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to gain hands-on experience in a hybrid working environment within a well-established team.
The successful candidate will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for a variety of transactional finance duties. The role offers exposure across multiple areas of the finance function and is ideal for someone looking to expand their skill set in a dynamic business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage accounts payable: post transactions, reconcile vendor accounts, and resolve queries
* Support accounts receivable: post customer cash receipts, reconcile accounts, and handle queries
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
* Generate monthly cashflow reports
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations
* Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts
* Support year-end audit processes
* Provide ad hoc support to the finance team on administrative and project-related tasks
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year's experience in a similar finance role
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
* Excellent organisational, verbal, and written communication skills
* Flexible and adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment
* Proven team player with initiative
Desirable:
* Experience with SAP or Esker systems
