Our client is seeking a
Field Service Engineer
to join their growing team in
Dublin
. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who enjoys working in the field, delivering high-quality service, and building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out service and maintenance visits in line with company and service procedures, ensuring optimal use of time and cost efficiency.
* Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products and comply fully with company and local
Health & Safety
requirements while working on customer premises.
* Accurately complete and submit all service documentation within agreed timescales.
* On arrival at customer sites, clearly communicate the purpose of the visit and obtain permission before commencing work.
* Upon completion of work:
* Ensure the work area is clean and tidy
* Dispose of parts and chemicals in accordance with site and regulatory requirements
* Complete all documentation accurately, obtain required authorisations, and leave copies with the customer
* Provide feedback and recommendations to support future customer visits and contribute ideas for continuous improvement of products and services.
* Maintain exemplary standards of personal appearance, hygiene, and professionalism in line with the company's ethos.
* Ensure all tools, spares, and equipment are maintained in safe working condition and report any losses, damage, or safety concerns immediately to management.
* Liaise with the service coordinator and customer contacts to confirm appointment times and duration of works.
* Escalate any concerns regarding malpractice, non-compliance, or dishonesty in line with company policies.
* Participate in an
on-call rota
as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Competent computer skills
* Full, current driving licence
* Ability to work independently and professionally on customer sites
Desirable:
* City & Guilds / NTEC / ONC or similar qualification in
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience
* Experience in the
Medical Device
industry
* Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards
