Our company has partnered with a leading Civil Engineering consultancy to hire an Environmental Consultant for operations in Cork, Dublin, or Carlow.


The Role:

* Manage individual contracts to deliver high-quality ecological consultancy services by overseeing project timelines and ensuring seamless collaboration among team members.
* Provide expert ecological input for various projects by conducting thorough site assessments and analyzing data to inform decision-making.
* Plan, conduct, and supervise fieldwork involving ecological surveys and habitat assessments to ensure accurate and reliable results.
* Prepare and monitor the implementation of Environmental Management Plans to minimize environmental impact and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
* Undertake Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments, Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, and other environmental reporting requirements to ensure transparency and accountability.
* Manage quality by enforcing attention to detail, accuracy, timely delivery, and continuous improvement of work produced by the Ecology Team.
* Develop strong relationships with clients through effective communication, regular updates, and prompt issue resolution as necessary.

Requirements:

* A degree in Ecology or a related subject is required, preferably with advanced training or certifications in environmental consulting.
* A minimum of seven years of post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy, including a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
* Membership in CIEEM, CIWEM, or an equivalent professional body demonstrates commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
* Detailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation in Ireland is essential for providing informed advice and support to clients.
* Experience in preparing and monitoring Environmental Management Plans showcases ability to balance business needs with environmental responsibilities.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams, fostering open communication and mutual respect among team members.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills are crucial for success in this role.
