Senior Programmer
Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath
Reporting to: Construction Director
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and report on construction programmes for multiple projects using Asta Powerproject MS Project (preferred) or Asta Powerproject.
Engage with Preconstruction, Estimating, Contracts Management, and Site Teams to build logic‑based, resource‑aligned project programmes.
Lead planning workshops, programme reviews, and risk forecasting sessions using digital planning tools and lean principles.
Update and track programmes through site inputs and digital platforms (e.g. Procore, BIM 360).
Analyse programme deviations, identify root causes, and support recovery strategies in collaboration with site leadership.
Support the preparation of delay impact analyses, mitigation plans, and EOT claims with robust supporting evidence.
Guide the integration of design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover milestones into live programmes.
Provide high‑quality visuals (e.g. staging diagrams, Gantt charts) for internal and client communications.
Act as a champion of McKeon Group’s digital transformation initiatives in planning and delivery.

Skills / Experience / Qualifications Required
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management or related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in construction programming, with at least 5 years in Ireland across live building projects.
Demonstrated expertise in delivering complex, multi‑phase programmes in sectors such as healthcare, education, or commercial.
Solid understanding of public and private procurement frameworks (e.g. Public Works, RIAI, NEC etc).
Proficient in MS Project, Asta Powerproject, and Excel.
Experienced with construction delivery platforms like Procore, Field View, or BIM 360.
Ability to interpret 3D models and align programme logic with federated BIM workflows.
Comfortable leading digital planning meetings, pull planning sessions, and using model‑based scheduling tools.
Data‑driven mindset with an ability to contribute to dashboarding and reporting strategies.
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills — able to lead meetings with directors, clients, and consultants.
