Overview
A progressive and forward thinking civil engineering company delivering essential water and wastewater projects nationwide has an opportunity for a Quality Advisor/Quality Lead in the East Munster & Laois region. This role focuses on ensuring the highest standards of quality across multiple infrastructure projects, championing compliance, performance, and continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities
* Quality Management & Planning: Review project contract documentation to determine quality deliverables; develop and review Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs); conduct audits and inspections pre-project and throughout the project lifecycle; analyse and present quality data in management meetings; support tender submissions and contribute to quality improvement programmes; carry out snagging activities in coordination with clients.
* Sampling, Testing & Analysis: Perform sampling and testing of construction materials (aggregates, tarmac, welds, concrete cubes, reinstatement materials); gather and analyse results from field and lab tests; handle water and soil sampling logistics and ensure timely submission to labs; assist in pressure testing procedures and analyse test graphs for reporting; monitor and verify calibration of key equipment and aid with calibration logistics.
* Site Inspections & Compliance: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor quality performance and compliance with project and client standards; inspect trench works, reinstatement, and general workmanship; liaise with government and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance; accompany clients during inspections and snagging activities and document outcomes.
* Communication & Support: Attend project and coordination meetings; provide updates on quality and compliance matters; conduct Toolbox Talks and deliver quality briefings; collaborate with the quality team and site staff to ensure continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
* A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction-related discipline.
* Previous experience on water infrastructure projects is advantageous.
* Proven ability to problem solve and manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
* Hands-on experience with quality systems, audits, and materials testing.
* Strong knowledge of site operations and health & safety compliance.
* Excellent communication and data analysis skills.
* Full Irish Drivers Licence is essential.
