The
Procurement & Pricing Coordinator
is a pivotal, high-impact role designed to act as the "commercial engine room" of our Dublin 3/ Blessington facility.
This person will bridge the gap between sales and ground-level procurement /operational execution.
You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of a product from negotiating input cost with suppliers to ensuring that the final price on the shelf or in a customer's quotation is both competitive and profitable.
You will navigate the complexities of customer demands, and the fast-paced nature of the Irish building materials sector.
Your mission is to protect business margins through meticulous Database management in the ERP system while fostering relationships with stakeholders, ensuring that our inventory levels are optimized for the big project timelines of Dublin-based contractors and DIY enthusiasts alike.
The Role will support the Operations Manager to achieve margin targets.
With excellent planning and organising skills the role will collaborate with all stakeholders to deliver exceptional procurement and inventory management standards across purchasing, competitive cost pricing, supplier and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier management
Cost Negotiation
- Identify, evaluate and negotiate supplier product input costs to achieve and maintain business margin and sales targets.
Rebate management
– Assist in the end-to-end management of Group rebates, performing regular audits to ensure accuracy, completeness and timely claims.
Purchasing Lifecycle
- Assist in the planning, organising and monitoring of the end-to-end purchasing activities to ensure an efficient and effective inventory management process and customer fulfilment schedules.
Pricing Record
- Maintain timely and accurate and complete supplier product and cost pricing records and schedules.
Own and maintain the ERP price register to ensure complete and accurate cost and selling prices.
Ensure agile and pro-active pricing management, maintenance and reviews.
Purchase Orders
– Create PO's, place orders with suppliers.
Monitor fulfilment schedules, track orders and escalate any exceptions and/or variances.
Supplier Relations
- Develop and maintain strong supplier working relationships to ensure positive outcomes and/or address and resolve any queries and/or identify and communicate purchasing opportunities.
Build resilient working relationships with suppliers to resolve queries and identify "first-to-market" purchasing opportunities.
Operations
– Liaise with the Operations Manager and Warehouse & Transport Supervisor to maintain stock accuracy and customer fulfilment.
Margin Analysis
– Conduct deep-dive analysis into product lines with margin erosion and recommend immediate price adjustments or supplier renegotiations.
Competitor Intelligence
– Perform regular market price comparisons across Dublin-based competitors to ensure our DIY and trade offerings remain the preferred choice.
Product safety & documentation
– Ensure all purchased goods are supported by the necessary product data sheet (SDS, certifications).
KPI's
– Report on agreed Weekly, Monthly and Yearly KPI's.
Sales/pricing Support & logistics/Fulfilment
Assist the Operation Manager and Warehouse & Transport Supervisor to forecast demand utilising the data from the ERP system.
Support the Operations Manager and Warehouse & Transport Supervisor to coordinate fulfilment of orders.
Maintain accurate records of supplier performance and cost data.
Develop and maintain strong customer working relationships to ensure positive outcomes and/or address and resolve any queries and/or to identify and communicate sales opportunities.
Keep up to date with her own customers and their projects to create new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
Liaise with transport & warehouse department to promote and participate in timely customer deliveries and resolve bottlenecks in the Dublin area.
Liaise daily with the warehouse team & stock control to maintain stock accuracy and ensure order fulfilment matches our system records.
Escalate any variance and/or exceptions for agreed schedules.
Analyse slow moving or obsolete stock and propose clearance strategies to maximise warehouse space and capital.
Administration
Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders across departments to enhance communications, coordination and business performance.
Contribute to management meetings, providing insight and operational updates.
Maintain accurate and complete records in the shared drive.
Assist in cycle counts and/or annual stock takes/audits.
Assist accounts with annual audits.
Assist in the development of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operational processes.
Any other reasonable administration tasks compatible with the importance of the role.

Query Management.
Assist in cycle counts and stock takes.
Cover / Cash Office
Answering the phone on general, TCT & W/H queries.
Participate in and Support Warehouse & Transport Supervisor in their absence.

Days
- Mon-Fri (Including every 3
rd
Saturday 8.30am-1.00pm)
Times
Mon Thu 7.30am – 4.30pm, Fri 7.30am – 4.00pm
Position
– Full-time, on-site position.
Note
– May Require physical activity, including lifting and movement of goods.
Blessington site
– May require travel to our external site on an occasional basis
