The Role
Our client is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their International Pre-Construction Team. This is a fully office-based position in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, with occasional travel to project sites in Ireland and internationally.
The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing ground conditions, advising on foundation design, and supporting feasibility studies for major projects. Working closely with design engineers, project managers, and clients, they will ensure geotechnical considerations are integrated into project planning from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct geotechnical assessments and interpret site investigation data.
Provide technical input on soil mechanics, foundation design, and ground improvement techniques.
Support tendering and pre-construction activities with accurate geotechnical advice.
Liaise with external consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Prepare reports and recommendations for project teams and clients.
Requirements
Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in geotechnical analysis and design.
Strong understanding of Eurocodes and relevant industry standards.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits.
