EHS Leadership Role
We are seeking an experienced EHS professional to join our team and drive environmental health and safety excellence. As a key member of the Environmental Health & Safety team, you will provide expert guidance to sites and projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, company standards, policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing General Safety and High Risk Work Programs
* Contributing to Environmental Programs (Air, water, waste)
* Providing safety support for new and ongoing projects
* Participating in local safety teams, audits, inspections, incident investigations, and other safety programs as required
You will also be responsible for representing the EHS function in risk assessments, change management impact assessments, training delivery, and contractor management. Additionally, you will evaluate and audit EHS processes and systems against global safety and environment standards, reporting on weekly KPIs to management and department teams, aligned with EHS objectives and targets.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-directed, technically strong individual who can work effectively in a multi-functional team environment. Key qualifications include:
* Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, or a related Safety or Environmental field of study
* +7 years of EHS experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, petrochemical, or process-related industry
* In-depth knowledge of Irish H&S and Environmental Legislation and regulations
* High Risk Work program and Contractor Management experience beneficial
A successful candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, ability to maintain focus on key goals and priorities, and ensure project success. Proven record of success in the EHS sector, with experience in supporting multiple activities/projects, managing and implementing change, influencing others, and having a 'Safety First' mind-set is essential. Desiring to protect employees and the environment is vital.
