Your new companyAn established building services consultancy is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The business specialises in mechanical, electrical, and public health design, delivering predominantly high-rise residential and commercial projects, with a strong focus on RIBA Stage 4 & 5 delivery.Your new roleThis is a fully remote position offering a high level of autonomy, with occasional travel to London as required for site visits and coordination. You will lead mechanical design delivery across projects, managing both the technical output and internal teams, while working closely with wider design stakeholders.Key responsibilities:Lead mechanical design on Stage 4 & 5 projectsManage and mentor engineers and Revit techniciansCoordinate with multidisciplinary design teamsOversee project delivery, timelines, and qualityReview technical designs and modelsWhat you'll need to succeed 8+ years' experience in building services designStrong background in Stage 4 & 5 project deliveryExperience on high-rise residential projects (ideal)Proven experience working on UK projects, with a strong understanding of UK Building RegulationsProven team leadership and project management abilityDegree in Mechanical Engineering or Building ServicesExperience with CAD / Navisworks (or similar)Strong communication skills and ability to work remotelyWhat you'll get in returnThis is a great opportunity to step into a genuinely flexible, fully remote role where you'll have real ownership over your projects and the ability to influence delivery from a senior position.
