a leading semi-state electricity infrastructure supplier, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their Engineering and Major Projects (EMP) team at Dublin Bay Power Plant on a 12-month contract basis.
The Quality Engineer will lead and implement quality assurance and control processes for major power plant overhauls, ensuring compliance with ESB's Quality Management System (ISO 9001), project-specific Quality Plans, and statutory requirements throughout planning, execution and close-out phases.

Responsibilities
5. Lead the development and implementation of project-specific Quality Plans aligned with standards and overhaul requirements
6. Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (ISO 9001), statutory regulations and internal Technical Standards & Guidelines
7. Communicate quality systems and expectations to project teams and contractors and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle
8. Integrate Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) into overhaul schedules and verify compliance at all stages
9. Conduct regular safety, environmental and quality audits during overhaul execution
10. Manage non-conformance processes, corrective actions and the maintenance of quality records
11. Oversee contractor quality plans and ensure appropriate surveillance at critical hold points
12. Liaise with Project Engineers, Contractors and OEM specialists to ensure quality deliverables are achieved
13. Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), workshop inspections and site inspections for overhaul components as required
14. Lead final quality acceptance activities and support handover documentation for return to service
15. Maintain Quality Audit Logs and report progress to the Project Board and relevant stakeholders
16. Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across EMP projects
17. Ensure compliance with all ESB Health & Safety requirements and site-specific safety rules
18. Any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager
Requirements
19. Minimum of 15 years' experience in quality management within power generation or a related process industry
20. Primary engineering level 8 degree in a relevant discipline and/or relevant work experience
21. Proven experience managing quality on major power plant or industrial overhauls
22. Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001
23. Primary Level 8 Engineering degree in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience
24. Experience working within ESB environments or similar regulated utilities is highly desirable
25. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills
26. Strong report writing capability with proficient computer skills (MS Office)
27. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams
28. Full clean driving licence (B category)
29. Project Management experience is desirable
