We are seeking a Cost Engineer / Project Control Engineer for our clients, an Engineering company in County Kerry. Working closely with project managers, engineers, procurement department and finance teams, you will be tasked with supporting cost control throughout the full project lifecycle, from bid stage through to handover and delivery. You will excel at monitoring project expenditure and compare actual costs to estimates. This is a full – time, permanent position based in County Kerry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractors.
2. Prepare cost calculations for emerging technologies.
3. Provide support for general costing queries raised by Sales Department.
4. Assist in developing financial status reports for active contracts
5. Contribute to the design and implementation of cost configurators.
6. Support continuous improvement of internal costing processes.
7. Prepare budget estimates during project pre-costing phase.
8. Generate cost estimates for production and optional technical features in tenders.
9. Participate in contract financial reviews.
Qualifications & Competencies:
10. 2+ years' experience in a similar position
11. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is essential.
12. Ability to interpret technical specification and connect design with cost impact.
13. Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office.
