Job Title: Environmental Safety Specialist
This is a hands-on role focused on driving safety, health, and environmental standards across the operation.
Key aspects of the role include:
* Supporting the implementation and upkeep of EHS management systems, including maintaining records and documentation in line with recognised standards (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001).
* Assisting with coordinating construction project documentation, permits, and contractor management processes.
* Preparing and maintaining records of task, equipment, chemical, and machinery risk assessments.
* Providing administrative support for the industrial hygiene programme, including scheduling monitoring and keeping logs updated.
* Supporting the EH&S team with documentation and communication for management of change and chemical-related projects.
* Coordinating logistics and materials for EH&S training programmes and keeping attendance/training records up to date.
* Drafting, formatting, and updating EH&S procedures and ensuring controlled versions are distributed and archived correctly.
* Assisting in logging and tracking incident/accident investigations, including maintaining records of root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
* Providing administrative support for SHE projects and initiatives, including scheduling meetings, tracking progress, and preparing reports.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* A recognised third level qualification in Safety and Health and/or Environmental Science/Engineering.
* Prior experience of working in a construction/manufacturing/chemical related industry.
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills.
* Self-directed with demonstrated efficient work methods, problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
