Job Description
Dixon International Logistics is recruiting logistics apprentices under the LAA program for the academic term beginning September 2026. Based at St. Margaret’s, Co Dublin, Dixon International Logistics is one of Ireland’s largest privately owned transport companies. We operate a fleet of 300 trucks and a large pallet warehouse, servicing some of Ireland’s and the world’s top companies. Customers include world‑class names in food and pharmaceuticals as well as global 3PL organisations.
Suitable candidates will be expected to work in one of the following departments:
UK Imports
UK Exports
EU Imports
EU Exports
Domestic Transport
Warehouse Administration
Ground Handling (Air Cargo)
Customs Clearance
Accounts
Fleet Management
Marketing
Applicant must meet one of the LAA programme entry criteria:
H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects; a minimum of grade O6 in English and a minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level mathematics.
Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas such as business, logistics, supply chain management, etc.
Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Fluent spoken and written English is essential. Candidates must be able to reliably commute daily to our St. Margaret’s office location; access to a car or other private transport is required.
