The Role
Reporting to the Design Manager, the Design Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate design activities between internal teams, consultants, and specialist subcontractors to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Support the Design Manager and Senior Project Team throughout all stages of project delivery.
Assist with the implementation and management of project design plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Maintain design deliverable registers, trackers, and project documentation.
Review design information for constructability and identify potential risks or issues.
Monitor the flow of design information to ensure alignment with project programmes and procurement schedules.
Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
BCAR responsibilities
Requirements
Third-level qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Design Coordinator or similar role within the construction industry.
Previous residential project experience.
Strong understanding of BIM processes, BCAR and document control systems.
