* Cultivating genuine and caring connections with young people and their families.
* Promoting a culture of unconditional positive regard.
* Contributing to the creation and maintenance of a safe and caring environment.
* Promoting the rights and responsibilities of each young person.
* Ensuring the physical, emotional, social, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual welfare of each young person.
* Safeguarding against any forms of abuse.
* Supervising young people on outings and participating in daily activities.
* Actively working within the Model of care and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
* Recognizing young people as experts through experience.
Working Together
We work closely with the young person's support network, including social workers, teachers, and family members. Our team values open communication, feedback, and supervision to ensure we provide the best possible care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A strong understanding of childcare legislation, national standards, and Ashdale Care policies and procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work effectively within a team.
* An understanding of developmental trauma and attachment principles.
* Competence in recording and reporting accurately.

Shift Work
