Purchasing and Warehouse Manager
As a Purchasing and Warehouse Manager at a leading healthcare organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient functioning of purchasing and warehouse operations. Your role will include managing a team of professionals across various locations.
This person will be responsible for the procurement of clinical and related consumables, while managing warehouse operations to ensure efficient inventory management and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure timely availability and delivery of goods.
* Oversee inventory management, maintaining optimal stock levels to meet operational demands.
* Coordinate with vendors to negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions for the procurement of goods and services.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies governing purchasing and warehouse activities.
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
* Implement and maintain effective systems for tracking, reporting, and analyzing key performance metrics.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing and warehouse activities with overall organizational goals.
* Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Enhanced Responsibilities:
* Drive technology integration to leverage inventory management systems and enhance efficiency and accuracy in tracking goods.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, supplier relationships, and quality.
* Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (highly advantageous but not essential if you can demonstrate suitable experience).
* Experience in a similar procurement role within a healthcare organization would be very advantageous.
* Demonstrable team building skills, including team design, tasking, function KPI construction, coaching/mentoring, and succession planning.
* Strong management skills and the ability to initiate and lead supplier improvement/optimization projects on a cross-functional basis.
* Ability to develop and grow a team of procurement professionals to meet current and future needs of the organization.
