Job Title: Credit Manager
Our business is seeking a skilled and experienced Credit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the company's credit function, including leading and managing a team, ensuring adequate training and coaching is available, and maintaining high standards in credit and collections.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of credit professionals to ensure effective management of the company's credit function.
* Ensure adequate training and coaching is available to support the development of team members.
* Maintain high standards in credit and collections, ensuring that customer accounts are up-to-date and in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
* Effectively handle customer queries and escalations, providing timely and professional responses to meet customer needs.
* Agree customer payment plans and ensure that all relevant transactions are processed on a daily basis.
* Liaise with debt collection agencies (DCAs) and legal counsel as required.
* Assist colleagues as needed to support business demands.
* Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to provide insights into the company's credit performance.
* Represent the company at industry events and meetings as required.
Key Accountabilities:
* Maintain high levels of performance in conjunction with company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Agree customer credit terms and limits, ensuring that these are aligned with company policies and procedures.
* Handle customer queries and issues in a professional and timely manner.
* Ensure that all customer records are properly maintained and updated.
* Ensure that relevant transactions are processed on a daily basis.
* Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations at all times.
