Customer Claims Handler
This is an exciting hybrid career opportunity in the insurance industry. You will receive a competitive salary, which will increase upon achieving APA & CIP qualifications, along with our employee benefits and rewards.
We are hiring multiple Customer Claims Handlers in Galway. The role is full-time, with options for office-based or hybrid work after training, which takes place at our Galway office in Knocknacarra.
We welcome applicants at entry level (no prior insurance experience needed) as well as experienced claims handlers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and assess claims
* Show empathy and understanding for customers
* Depending on experience, handle claim notifications, provide updates, and work with customers and service providers to settle claims
* Manage customer interactions courteously and efficiently to ensure satisfaction
* Coordinate with service providers for fair investigation and evaluation of claims
* Assist senior colleagues with complex cases
* Maintain high-quality standards and seek continuous improvement
Requirements:
* Confident, enthusiastic, and professional phone manner
* Good communication skills over the phone
* Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is desirable but not required
Regulatory Requirements:
If this role is a "controlled function" under the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011, appointment is contingent upon meeting fitness and probity standards.
