Role Overview:
The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment while providing technical support to existing clients. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, customer-facing sales skills, and a willingness to travel to client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive new sales and business development within the refrigeration and air conditioning sector.
* Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, providing technical support onsite as required.
* Offer expert advice on product selection, system design, and energy-efficient solutions.
* Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical documentation for clients.
* Conduct product demonstrations and training for customers.
* Collaborate closely with the internal sales and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Keep up to date with industry trends, new products, and competitor offerings.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a technical sales or engineering role within HVAC/R, refrigeration, or air conditioning sectors.
* Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration, air conditioning and chiller systems.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, travel-intensive schedule.
* Full clean driver's license is essential.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to customer support.
Desirable:
* Qualification in mechanical, electrical, or HVAC/R engineering.
* Previous experience in wholesale or distribution sales.
* Familiarity with energy-efficient or sustainable HVAC/R solutions.
