Contract Technical Recruiter – Software & IT
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to provide hands-on hiring support across software engineering and IT roles. This is a contract engagement, suited to someone who can operate at pace, embed quickly, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-moving environment. The role requires a balance of remote working and 1–2 days onsite per week.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end recruitment delivery across software engineering and IT positions.
* Hiring for roles including backend, frontend, full-stack, cloud, data, DevOps, infrastructure, and broader IT functions.
* Partnering closely with hiring managers to define requirements, timelines, and priorities.
* Building and managing candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, and market mapping.
* Conducting initial screening interviews, technical qualification, and candidate assessment.
* Managing candidates through interview processes, feedback, offers, and onboarding.
* Ensuring a high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
* Maintaining accurate data and reporting across ATS and recruitment tools.
Experience & Skills
* Proven experience recruiting for software engineering and IT roles in a contract or in-house capacity.
* Strong technical market knowledge and the ability to qualify technical skillsets confidently.
* Demonstrated success sourcing hard-to-find technical talent.
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and deliver against agreed hiring plans.
Working Pattern
* Contract role, 6–12 months. (opportunity to convert to a permanent position.)
* Hybrid working model, 1–2 days onsite per week.
