OverviewThe primary function of the IT Support Engineer is to work as part of the European ITSS team to support all users within Cook Medical.ResponsibilitiesPrioritise, manage and resolve all IT Support issues via the helpdesk ticketing system.Ability to provide IT support to both onsite and remote end users, via Telephone, Email and System Centre.Laptop/Workstation installation, maintenance and repair.Mobile Device maintenance and repair.Windows Administration.Maintain File Access and Print Services.Create and maintain technical support procedural documentation.Take ownership of tasks and following them through to completion while maintaining routine helpdesk operation.Escalate issues to senior members of the IT Team as required.Assist IT Teams with project implementation as required.Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf.Qualifications3 to 5 years relevant industry experience desired.Formal qualification in a technical discipline such as Information Technology, or Computer Science preferred.Excellent knowledge and experience with Desktop Operating Systems such as Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Red Hat Linux.Solid experience of working with Active Directory, File Permission, File Print services and Anti-Virus.Advanced Experience with products such as Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, Intune.Experience supporting mobile platforms and IOS technologies, iPhone and iPads.Microsoft System Centre, SQL.A strong team player with excellent technical, customer service and interpersonal skills.Proven problem-solving skills with an ability to work on own initiative.Ability to work under pressure in a mission critical environment.Willingness to work outside core business hours if required.High self-motivation.Willingness to travel on company business.About Cook LimerickCook Medical has been in Limerick since 1996, starting out with labelling and distribution and steadily growing and evolving to include manufacturing, centralised customer support and on to collaborative product development in the Innovation Centre.
