Our international Planning and Environmental team is one of the largest multi-jurisdictional top-tier planning teams, engaged in complex, high-value development projects across the UK and Ireland in sectors including offshore and onshore energy, real estate, data centres, life sciences and large-scale infrastructure.

Role and key responsibilities
We are seeking a talented and motivated lawyer to join the team as a senior lawyer.
We can train you on the law, but we cannot train attitude.
The successful applicant will be eager to learn, capable of building strong client relationships, and committed to developing their career with us over the medium to long term.
Responsibilities include:
Handle own matters with supervision as part of the team
Be pro-active in business development, training (internal and for clients), and contribute to strategic growth of the practice
Collaborate with sector specialists across the firm to develop growth areas
Provide planning and environmental advice on real estate, energy and corporate transactions
Participate in training for clients and internal colleagues
Skills and experience
We are seeking candidates who are focused on progressing to market-leading practitioners.
The following criteria reflect our expectations:
Open to applicants from approximately 3 years post-qualification through to Senior Lawyer/Legal Director/Of Counsel
Strong technical skills, commercial acumen and excellent academic qualifications
Ability to analyse complex factual situations, distill key issues clearly, and persuade others with logical reasoning
Ability to deliver first-rate client service internally and externally
Desirable: exposure to clients/counsel/experts
Desirable: exposure to business development activities and training, with understanding of how to win work
"Can do" attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to meet client needs
