Job Overview
The Plaza Group, one of Ireland’s leading independent motorway and primary route services groups, is opening a new Service Station at Ennis (M18), Co. Clare, later this autumn. We are seeking a Goods Inwards & Maintenance Person to join our team. This role involves managing warehouse activities, overseeing goods inwards and outwards, stock management, and performing light maintenance tasks both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage goods inwards/outwards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with purchasing requirements.
* Maintain security and organization of the back stores area, overseeing supplier movements.
* Organize and merchandise the stock room according to food safety regulations.
* Submit daily invoice/delivery documentation to the office.
* Perform general maintenance tasks as required, both internally and externally.
* Ensure minimal disruption to customers while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
* Maintain cleanliness in external areas, including storage, forecourt, and car parks.
* Manage stock, conduct weekly stocktakes, and ensure proper storage and documentation of returns.
* Uphold hygiene and cleaning standards per QSC and HACCP guidelines.
* Handle diverse light maintenance tasks to keep the store in excellent condition.
Additional Responsibilities
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security protocols.
* Assist in staff training when needed.
* Maintain professionalism in all interactions with customers and suppliers.
* Support waste disposal and recycling practices on-site.
* Manage equipment breakdowns, storage, and returns safely and hygienically.
* Comply with Health & Safety Regulations and report breaches.
* Maintain cleanliness in forecourt areas, including waste management and landscaping.
* Assist with ad-hoc duties across the site as required.
Work Environment
The environment is fast-paced and physically demanding at times, with prolonged periods without sitting often required.
