OverviewMetroLink Delivery Engineer (Grade 3) role at Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).Job DetailsTitle of Role: Delivery EngineerGrade: Grade 3Directorate: MetroLinkNature of Employment: Specified purpose contract until the commencement of passenger services on Metrolink.Number of Roles: 2Function: DeliveryWorkstream: Advanced & Enabling WorksReport to: Project ManagerWork Location: TII Offices on Parkgate Street, Dublin 8, or other locations as determined by TII.Principal AccountabilitiesSupporting the Delivery Manager in all activities of the M100 Contractors related to designing, procuring, installing and handover of sites and testing of the equipment.Assist in the preparation of technical reports related to the project scope.Assist in the development of processes and procedures to ensure consistency and quality from design to manufacture and test phases.Monitor and report on the performance and quality of the design work by the Contractor and monitor progress against the programme.Participate in the review of the Contractor/Consultant Submissions.Support the design process including interface details, technical clarifications, and RFIs, as well as handling design changes (RFC) and variations.Support management of Contractors Civil Works, Systems and Delivery teams.Participate in regular design process meetings and workshops with the integrated MetroLink team.Work alongside the Delivery Team to assist in coordination of requirements.Input into reports that provide measurement metrics on ongoing task completion to guide contractor delivery.Maintain records for status of each activity under direct management. Prepare meeting minutes and action lists to facilitate information sharing.Participate in the review and preparation of various reports and other correspondence related to the project.Promote an equitable, inclusive and collaborative workplace.Perform additional tasks as required or assigned related to the role throughout the project.Essential RequirementsCharacter: Each candidate must be of good character.Health: Candidate must be fully competent and capable of duties and in good health to render regular and efficient service.Experience, Skills and QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 3 years' experience working in an engineering environment, either in design or construction for projects in an urban area. Transport infrastructure experience desired.Skills: Knowledge of relevant engineering specifications and standards (IS, BS, EN, NFPA) and related civil, structural, and temporary works activities. Ability to engage with and manage relationships with stakeholders. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.Formal Education/Qualifications: A degree (NFQ Level 7 or equivalent) in a relevant engineering or related discipline.Professional Memberships: Membership of a related professional organisation or eligible to apply (desirable).Notes on Eligibility and SelectionApplicants must explicitly reference how they meet the requirements in their application.
