Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our payroll operations department, you will be responsible for managing the daily processing of payrolls, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of payroll management.
About the Role
* Plan and manage own workload, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
* Validate and input data received, checking for accuracy and making corrections as necessary.
* Check inputted data and make relevant corrections before live run.
* Liaise with internal and external contacts to handle routine, non-routine, and complex customer queries regarding payroll and HR issues.
* Manage client relationships, coordinating Taxes/Social Charges, Pensions, Insurance payments, and distributing payment statements.
* Collect timesheets, process payrolls in accordance with payroll cycle, and monitor results for accuracy.
* Prepare employees' compensation using payroll software, carrying out payroll checks as required.
* Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines (GDPR) and schedule bank payments.
* Report on payroll costs, ensuring wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations.
* Enter new employees' data into internal databases, answering questions about compensation, benefits, taxes, and insurance deductions.
Requirements
1. Experience working in volume-based payroll operations environment.
2. IPASS qualified or in process of becoming qualified.
3. Demonstrable written and verbal communication skills using various media.
4. Demonstrable knowledge of PC literacy and software usage of Word and Excel.
5. Experience in up-to-date and upcoming changes to payroll legislation.
6. A visible commitment to quality processes and ability to challenge established procedures if necessary.
7. Demonstrable experience within customer service environment and ability to prioritize conflicting workloads.
8. Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, SAP, etc.).
9. Strong maths skills with ability to spot numerical errors.
10. Ability to handle confidential information and prioritize and handle high volume of Payroll Team queries.
11. A clear, fast thinker who displays great attention to detail and analytical ability.
12. Excellent organizational skills with ability to work on own initiative and perform well under pressure with tight deadlines.
