We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to lead our finance and central administration function.
Job Responsibilities:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
* Direct a finance team, promoting high performance, engagement, and motivation among team members.
* Process all financial transactions from trial balance level, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Credit Control functions.
* Evaluate and maintain adequate financial controls, reviewing them regularly as directed by senior management.
* Collaborate with senior management in managing daily cash flow and producing weekly and quarterly forecasts.
* Publish monthly management accounts, including month-end journals, analysis, KPIs, and submission for consolidation.
* Assist in preparing the annual budget for the business, along with monthly and quarterly profit and loss and balance sheet forecasts when necessary.
* Support group finance in submitting HMRC & ROS forms, including VAT, tax, and other government submissions.
Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/CPA part qualified accountant.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in finance operations.
* Experience with Microsoft NAV or similar software.
* Payroll expertise is essential.
* Leadership experience is mandatory.
* Highly organized and skilled at tracking and meeting deadlines.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
