Leveraging the power of our platform and our peerless intelligence across sectors, strategies, and geographies, we help identify the advantages and the answers our clients need to succeed.Position OverviewThe Senior Associate will be responsible for implementing the risk management framework, investment guidelines and restriction checks, liquidity management and all other AIFMD requirements. The Senior Associate will be involved in a broad range of tasks and will support the team in all aspects of its remit. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong communication skills, be able to meet deadlines and prioritize workload. You must be a hardworking self-starter capable of demonstrating commitment and attention to detail. In this position, you will closely collaborate with other members of the private debt legal, reporting and operations teams.Essential Job Functions: Familiarization of StepStone Private Debt (SPD) in-house systems and databasePrepare monthly/quarterly investment controlling/guidelines reports for all funds managed by the AIFMPrepare monthly leverage reports and quarterly stress test reports for all funds managed by the AIFMEnsure pre-trade compliance for loan investmentsEnsure eligibility for secondary investmentsManage the team members across all tasksOversee the preparation of quarterly board packs and organization of the monthly Investment Committee and Risk Committee meetingsAttendance of relevant SPD committeesAnalyse and process business data to address ad-hoc requestsMaintain fund specific investment guidelines within proprietary databaseConstantly identify areas for improvementEnsure consistent documentation of tasks, tools, processes and interfacesIdentify cross training and coverage across the teamSupport other people within the team during absencesEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor/Master degree from a top-tier college in a relevant field6-8 years of relevant experience and familiarity with AIFMDAdequate people management skillsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesFlexibility—StepStone is a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization; all professionals are expected to perform multiple functionsExperience with alternative investments is a positiveAbility to prioritize activities while working on multiple projections and achieve target deadlinesAcute attention to accuracy and detailOther Attributes: Willingness to work a flexible schedulePromote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitudeDynamic, smart, hard-working and a self-starterHigh level of confidentialityCommitment to learning#LI-Hybrid
