We are seeking an experienced
Quantity Surveyor
to join our clients project team on a major
200MW Energy Centre
development in West Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for full commercial and cost management
from pre-construction through to project completion
, working closely with engineering, construction, and client teams.
This role is ideally suited to a Quantity Surveyor with experience in
power generation, pharma, data centres, or heavy industrial projects
, and who is comfortable operating in technically complex, high-value environments.

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction & Planning
* Cost planning, benchmarking, and feasibility analysis for large-scale energy/industrial projects
* Preparation of cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
* Support procurement strategy and tendering processes
* Preparation and review of Bills of Quantities, scopes, and tender documentation
* Evaluation of tenders and recommendation of contract awards
* Risk identification and value engineering input
Construction Phase
* Commercial management of main contracts and subcontract packages
* Measurement, valuation, and agreement of interim payments
* Management of variations, change control, and compensation events
* Cost reporting, forecasting, and financial risk management
* Liaison with project management, engineering, and site teams
* Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations (e.g. NEC, FIDIC, or bespoke forms)
Project Close-Out
* Final account preparation and negotiation
* Settlement of subcontractor accounts
* Assistance with commercial close-out and project handover
* Post-project cost analysis and reporting
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
* Degree in
Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent
* Minimum
5+ years' experience
in a Quantity Surveyor role
* Proven experience delivering projects
from pre-construction to completion
* Experience on
power projects, energy centres, pharma, data centres, or heavy industrial facilities
* Strong understanding of cost control, procurement, and contract administration
* Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
* Experience on
energy or power generation projects or heavy industrial
* Familiarity with
NEC, FIDIC, or Irish standard forms of contract
* Experience working on projects valued €50m+
