Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Expert to join our dynamic environmental consultancy.
The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams delivering hydrology-focused services across various sectors, including energy, commercial property, housing, and manufacturing.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop sampling and monitoring programmes for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
* Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments (Stage I-III).
* Design and manage environmental sampling and monitoring programmes.
* Oversee fieldwork, including groundwater and surface water monitoring.
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to recruitment and team development.
* Represent the company as an expert witness in oral hearings or legal proceedings.
* Lead or support responses to tenders and proposal development.
About You:
* Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
* 4+ years' experience in hydrology or related environmental consultancy.
* Proficient in Flood Risk Assessment methodologies and relevant software.
* Chartered (or working towards) status with a recognised professional body.
* Strong understanding of environmental legislation and industry best practices.
* Excellent communication and project management skills.
