Director of Crew Resources
This role oversees the performance of crew scheduling to ensure safety, reliability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily scheduling requirements of all crew members and ensure compliance with applicable FAA regulations, Collective Bargaining Agreements, flight crew qualifications, and company policies.
2. Establish strategic goals and direction for the Crew Scheduling team.
3. Identify and anticipate operational disruptions and solve them in a proactive manner.
4. Partner with Director of Integrated Operations Center during irregular operations to develop recovery plans and coordinate with necessary departments.
5. Establish monthly staffing grids to ensure adequate crew staffing.
6. Liaison with the FAA to remain compliant with FARs and processes.
7. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with union leadership to discuss improvements, concerns, or clarify agreements.
8. Participate as a Company designee of the ALPA / AFA Grievance Review Committee.
9. Assist with contract negotiations and provide analysis of proposed contractual changes.
10. Drive improvements in daily operations through cross-functional problem solving and collaboration with Flight Operations, Inflight, training, and other operational departments.
11. DIRECT the development and revision of the Crew Scheduling Policies and Procedures Manuals.
12. Ensure hotel rooms are confirmed on a monthly basis.
13. Provide direction for development and continuous improvement of systems, programs, and applications used by the Crew Scheduling team.
14. Coach and provide leadership, direction, motivation, and supervision of direct reports.
15. Appraise performance, provide feedback, take corrective actions, and oversee training and development of staff.
16. Promote quality customer service with all crew members.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experience in crew planning or scheduling is required.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Experience in Crew Tracking System and Microsoft Office software.
* Ability to speak/read/write in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
