Job Description
Key Responsibilities Work as part of the data team collaborating with the product team, data science and data engineering team to create compelling visualisations of dataTreat large and diverse amounts of data to improve existing products and develop new ones.Use a good understanding of Relational Databases, creation of data models and robust SQL skills to implement robust code and pipelines following a DevOps approachShare ideas with the team and contribute to the strategic goals by ideating and defining products across different businesses.
Qualifications
QualificationsBachelor or Master's degree in a related field, e.g.: computer science, software development, data analytics, statistics, or equivalent experience.Experience & ExpertiseEssential:Strong visualisation skills. Capable of designing effective visualisations summarising large amounts of data and insights in concise visual reportsAbility to design performance dashboardsSolid experience in Tableau and or Power BI or other visualisation toolExperience in designing dashboards with the UX/UI concepts in mindStrong experience in data modelling and SQL development of complex models and queries.Experience defining data warehousing data modelsCreation of complex ETL and ELT processesUnderstanding of master data managementExperience in query and data source performance optimization, resource allocation and managementExperience working in a cloud infrastructureExperience in the software development lifecycle and productionalisation and DevOps approaches (Automated testing, version control, CI/CD …).Experience dealing with large amounts of data.Experience in working in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced customer-focused and dynamic environment.Enjoy iterating over technical solutions to deliver value incremental to awesome customers (internal & external)Desirable:Experience in Azure Ecosystem.Experience in Databricks or Synapse Analytics. Understanding of the delta lake concept (Azure).Master data managementUnderstanding of the entire data science project lifecycle, including requirementsgathering, design, implementation, evaluation, testing, deployment, and presentation of results.NoSQL technologiesExperience with unstructured data (free text, images, and video)Some Experience with Geospatial analysis in a visualisation environmentFamiliarity with Machine learning and data science.Python skillsFamiliar with DevOps approach, this includes the use of Git, Agile, automated testing, and CI/CD.Skills & Approach:A self-motivated highly organised individual able to work well with all levels in the organisation.Excellent communication skills and the ability to present solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to effectively deliver the results of data analysis/solution design to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work as part of the team and as your entity on several projects simultaneously.Excellent problem solving, data analysis and statistical skills.Good ability to document information.
