Our client is a leading provider of Accessories, Hosiery, Luggage, Gifts and Jewellery in Ireland and the UK. Due to exceeding growth within their business, they are looking for a Logistics and Purchasing Specialist to join their team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will:
1. Process Purchase Orders, to match agreed product prices and discounts if any
2. Product setup including descriptions, dimensions, and weight, etc.
3. Liaise with Product Coordinators / Designers
4. Coordinate shipping schedule and deliveries with the suppliers
5. Liaise with the Shipping Agents / Forwarders to ensure proper documents are provided for Custom's clearance and follow-up queries.
6. Update shipping intake schedules from time to time
7. Cost Valuation
8. Answer phone calls, adhoc tasks
What you'll need to succeed
9. Experience of using ERP systems
10. Must have a "Can Do" attitude and can work on own initiative
11. Good interpersonal skills and high level of customer service
12. Previous experience in Shipments/Imports/Exports would be an advantage
13. Excellent in Microsoft Office especially Excel reporting
14. Strong numerical skills / attention to detail
15. Ability to work under pressure and can meet deadlines
16. Excellent time management and organizational skills
