The Role Were seeking a Compliance Manager to lead and oversee the credit unions compliance framework, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
This is a key strategic role, working closely with senior leadership to embed a culture of compliance across all departments.
The ideal candidate will be both detail-oriented and forward-thinking, with the confidence to advise on evolving regulatory landscapes while keeping member interests at the forefront.
Key Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the compliance and risk management framework Act as the designated Compliance Officer and MLRO (if required) Ensure ongoing compliance with the Credit Union Act, AML legislation, GDPR, and all relevant regulatory guidelines (CBI, EBA, etc.)
Prepare regular reports for the Board and senior management on compliance matters Oversee internal audits and work closely with external auditors and regulators during inspections Develop and deliver compliance training to staff at all levels Maintain and update internal policies, procedures, and risk registers Advise management on emerging risks, legislative changes, and best practices What We're Looking For Minimum QFA qualification (or working towards it) 3+ years experience in a compliance, audit, or risk role within financial services (credit union experience preferred) Strong working knowledge of financial regulations in Ireland, especially AML, GDPR, and governance standards Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to interact confidently with all levels of the business Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work under pressure Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management tools Whats on Offer Full-time, permanent role with a leading West Dublin credit union Competitive salary and pension package Hybrid working model (post-probation) Supportive, mission-driven work environment Strong focus on continuous professional development The opportunity to play a key role in strengthening governance and member trust Skills: Compliance Credit Union Risk Management
