Primary Function / Goals / ObjectivesTo carry out all activities assigned to ensure that production targets in terms of quality, safety, quantity and volume are attained.·To ensure the plant meets its customer service, financial, inventory management, quality and safety goals through the effective management of the Enteral Feeding Devices in the Operations areaMajor Responsibilities:Reporting to a Front Line Leader, your primary responsibilities will include the following:Carrying out direct production operationsPerforming machine adjustmentsInspection and disposition of productsHandling materials as requiredComplete and comply with all documentation as required in the process.Adhere to all Good Manufacturing requirements.Ensure that all duties etc. are carried out in a safe manner.Ensure that activities are completed within budgeted guidelines e.g. waste levels, per plan requirements.Training of new employees.Adhere to all relevant Operating Procedures.Assist in and become involved in cost saving ideasPerform line clearances.Perform computer applications as required.Partake in project work, such as product transfers, validation of facilities, equipment or processes and other relevant operations/quality improvement projects/programs.Complete all activities in a safe manner ensuring that any potential safety issues and areas of improvement are highlighted to Manager.Ensure environmental procedures eg recycling, waste minimization are adhered to and improvements are made where possible.EHS Responsibilities:Ensure Environmental Health & Safety standards are met and all EHS regulations and procedures are adhered to.Demonstrate accountability and responsibility for EHS performance and compliance through active participation and support of Abbott's EHS ProgramEnsure to report any work related injuries or illness to employee health and assist in the investigation.Active participation and support of Abbott's EHS programs, and attend EHS training as assigned.Education Required:Leaving Cert standard of education desirable but not essential.Knowledge:Previous experience of working in a regulated manufacturing environment would be advantageousEnthusiastic and energetic with the ability to integrate quickly into a team environmentDemonstrate a flexible and innovative approach to workPositive communications & interpersonal skillsAccountability / ScopeThis position reports to the Front Line LeaderAbility to interact with other departments within the plant and also members of various teams.Hours of WorkThe role will be based on dayshift, 39hrs per week.Mon :- Thurs 8am – 4pmFriday :– 8am – 3pmConnect with us at or, on LinkedIn at, on Facebook at and on Twitter @AbbottNews.The base pay for this position is N/A/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.JOB FAMILY:ManufacturingDIVISION:ANSC Nutrition Supply ChainLOCATION:Ireland > Sligo : Carbury Point, Finisklin Industrial & Technology Park, SligoADDITIONAL LOCATIONS:WORK SHIFT:Ie - Ansl1Hr (Ireland)TRAVEL:Not specifiedMEDICAL SURVEILLANCE:Not ApplicableSIGNIFICANT WORK ACTIVITIES:Not Applicable
