Pharma Site Construction Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Construction Lead to join our team as a senior member of the Construction Team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years' experience in a similar role and possess excellent multi-disciplinary knowledge, strong communication skills, and people management abilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the proper and timely construction of the project in accordance with Safety and Quality standards, detailed design, control estimate, contract, SOPs, WI's, standards, etc. They will also provide input for the development of the Construction Department, improving execution procedures, liaising with the Design department leads, and managing and developing Construction resources across the project.

Duties and responsibilities include:
">
1. Reviewing and liaising with design and client workgroup leads, model reviews;
">
2. Preparing and leading constructability reviews across every facet of the build;
">
3. Preparing detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) for trade contract procurement;
">
4. Assisting in preparation of detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs);
">
5. Reviewing returned bids and preparing Tender Brief Agreements (TBAs);
">
6. Trade and industry knowledge reviews, keeping abreast of developments in the construction industry;
">
7. Developing detailed execution strategies;
">
8. Inputting into CHSP, QA/TO, and all other General Construction Requirement documentation;
">
9. Assisting in schedule development, schedule reviews, and leading Integrated Action Plans (IAPs);
">
10. Providing input for the development of the Construction Department;
">
11. Ensuring that the construction phase of the projects is adequately provided with suitably capable, qualified, and experienced personnel, together with all the necessary plant, tools, temporary facilities, and other resources;
">
12. Subcontract management, including Safety, Schedule, Cost, and Quality, as the main deliverable;
">
13. Developing best-in-class site execution Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as guidance to Field Supervisors;
">
14. Complying with construction methods, procedures, and practices in all respects, particularly those relating to Safety, Quality Assurance, Personnel, and Industrial Relations;
">
15. Ensuring that applicable statutory and other legal requirements are properly observed;
">
16. Understanding the implications of the Health and Safety at Work Act and Regulations as they affect the responsibilities of employees;
">
17. Keeping abreast of developments in the construction industry and assisting in ensuring that capability continues to develop and excel;
">
18. Ensuring that projects are constructed to drawings, specifications, applicable standards, good construction practices, to schedule, and in accordance with the cost budget;
">
19. Directing and controlling the activities of assigned staff and their functions;
">
20. Carrying out assessments and appraisals of staff and reporting results in accordance with company practice;
">
21. Determining needs for supervisor training for proper execution of the project under construction and making recommendations accordingly;
">
22. Ensuring lessons learned on projects are recorded and shared;
">
23. Adhering to company policies for the employment of labour and ensuring that all matters concerning labour relations are dealt with in accordance with labour agreements;
">
24. Supervising and managing all Site CSA Staff, including construction superintendents, trade supervisors, and subcontractors.

Required qualifications and skills include:

Education

A degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Experience

10+ years' experience in a similar role.

This is a long-term contract role, minimum 12 months.

Salary

€70-€80 per hour, depending on experience, 8 hours per day, x 5 days per week.
