Job Summary – Project Lead (Civils)
Reporting to the Project Manager in Galway, we are currently seeking a Project Lead to support the Project Manager. The Project Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the employees involved in the execution of a project. They ensure the project progresses smoothly, within the established budget, timeline, and quality standards, while maintaining effective communication.
Responsibilities:
Team Supervision
Supervise daily activities of the project team, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
Assign tasks to workers based on their skillset and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Provide on-the-ground support and guidance to team members to overcome obstacles.
Monitor team performance and provide coaching or corrective actions as necessary
Project Execution
Oversee the implementation of the project plan and ensure the work aligns with project goals.
Monitor work progress to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Ensure the project stays on track with respect to scope, schedule, and budget.
Conduct regular site inspections or team check-ins to track progress and maintain quality control.
Resource & Material Management:
Ensure that necessary materials, equipment, and tools are available and properly maintained.
Track and manage project inventory and resources to avoid shortages.
Order additional materials or tools as needed to keep the project moving forward.
Communication & Reporting:
Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and Subcontractors about project progress and issues.
Report on daily/weekly progress, highlighting any challenges or delays.
Provide updates on any changes to the project scope or timeline.
Documentation & Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
Document any issues or delays encountered and the corrective actions taken.
HSEQ Compliance
Ensure all work is done in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Ensure the quality of work meets the standards specified in the project plan.
Inspect deliverables and ensure they meet project specifications.
Address any quality issues and make sure corrective actions are implemented.
Carry out regular Quality Audits on Works being done
