As the growth of Mediolanum’s asset management business accelerates, an exciting opportunity has emerged to join a team of product management experts responsible for all aspects of the product lifecycle to meet the growing and diverse needs of Mediolanum’s clients. The Product Management team forms part of the wider Product team which is responsible for all aspects of fund and life insurance products including design, construction, maintenance, oversight, and reporting.
Reporting to the Head of Product Management, the Product Manager will manage the implementation and maintenance of products and will be responsible for product governance processes. This is a highly visible role requiring collaboration with a broad set of stakeholders internally and externally, including investment and commercial teams, distributors, legal counsel, risk & compliance, finance, and operational teams.
The proposed role will suit a senior enthusiastic and energetic professional, with excellent organizational and communication skills who is self-driven to advance a commercially sound, client focused agenda.
Principal Duties of the Position
* Manage the development and implementation of new products, ensuring product initiatives follow the appropriate product governance processes.
* Take the lead on new product launches and discrete product changes/ innovations as required which involves the management of internal and external stakeholders in a collaborative manner.
* Product Oversight activity including monitoring of the performance and commercial success of the product range, both funds and insurance products, and associated cross-departmental engagement.
* Collaborate with stakeholders including Product Development, investment teams and the distributors to define product features.
* Co-ordinate the drafting and delivery of product and client documentation for new products.
* Owner of all product documentation including Prospectus and KIDs for the funds and the Terms & Conditions and KIDs for the life insurance products.
* Draft and present product initiative papers to internal governance forums or boards as required.
* Distribution oversight including relationship management and oversight of the services, the contractual agreements and service levels, and commercial activity including client communications.
* Develop and maintain market and segment expertise to assist decision making and execution.
* Manage changes to existing products, ensuring existing products remain current, appropriate, and compliant for clients.
* Work with other established team members to re-engineer and automate core processes leveraging new and existing technologies to benefit service delivery across the department.
* Monitor regulatory impacts on funds and determining appropriate actions.
* Input into the work of the broader department as and when required.

* Proficient in the use of internal Dashboards, data and information, and utilization of the data and information to support decision making and reporting.
* Attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and navigate multiple teams and deliverables.
* Strong data and data analytic skills to efficiently gather, process, interpret and use data and information for value-add initiatives.
* Collaborative track record, project management and communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications and Experience
* Strong demonstrable experience within a Product Development/Product Management function of an Asset Management firm.
* Relevant practical experience and knowledge of markets, investment processes and strategies, and the regulatory environment.
* Comprehensive knowledge of European fund structures, specifically UCITS and AIFs, and life insurance products.
* Understanding of current regulatory changes and issues impacting the industry.
* Bachelor Honours degree with a strong academic track record.
