Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Claims Handler to join our client within the insurance sector. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied European claims portfolio while working closely with internal teams and external partners.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of a high-quality claims service, ensuring accurate processing, strong data integrity, and effective liaison with third-party providers. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of analytical work, claims handling and cross-functional collaboration in a growing business.
Your Role
* Manage a mix of European claims across several product areas, ensuring timely progression and accurate documentation.
* Liaise with brokers, adjusters, third-party claims handlers and internal departments to maintain strong communication and service standards.
* Review, validate and maintain claims data, including bordereaux received from external partners.
* Support ongoing improvements to claims processes, data quality and operational efficiency.
* Participate in audits of third-party handlers and assist in monitoring delegated claims activity.
* Contribute to system or workflow enhancements linked to claims operations.
* Provide general support to the wider claims and operations teams as required.
Your Skills
* APA qualified (CIP or further progress an advantage).
* Strong Excel skills, including formulas and data handling.
* Minimum two years' experience in claims, financial services, or a similar operational role.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
* Comfortable working with external partners and managing multiple tasks.
* Logical, motivated, and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Additional European language skills are beneficial but not essential.
