This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a grocery or fashion retail background who can drive standards, lead a team, and deliver an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities: Coach, motivate and support your team to reach their full potential, recognising success and proactively managing performance.
Drive sales growth and profitability through strong commercial decisions and day-to-day trading focus.
Take ownership of both operational delivery and people leadership within your department/store area.
Manage end-to-end people processes including recruitment, onboarding, payroll accuracy, absence management and career development.
Work closely with the Store Manager to improve operational standards and overall commercial performance.
Foster an inclusive, positive and supportive workplace culture.
Identify performance opportunities and raise standards through ongoing coaching, training and development.
Skills and Requirements: Minimum 3+ year's management experience in grocery or fashion within a high-volume retail chain Strong track record managing fast-paced, high-footfall operations in either food or fashion retail Proven experience managing high-volume retail operations in Fashion or food retailing Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a hands-on, collaborative style Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to interpret sales figures/KPIs and take action to drive performance Comfortable working cross-functionally and supporting other areas such as Fashion, Home and Food as required Highly organised with strong planning, prioritisation and time management skills Package: Competitive salary 20% colleague discount Pension / Life Assurance Bonus schemes
