Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team in Emyvale, Co Monaghan. This role is office based, reporting into Accounts Manager.

This position plays a vital role in maintaining financial records and supporting the broader accounting function. Key responsibilities include reviewing online banking transactions, logging receipt details into the cash book and sales ledger, assisting with daily invoicing and credit control duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills
* Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Excel
* Sage Accounting Systems experience an asset
* Excellent numeric, analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Review of online banking and logging the receipt details into the cash book and Sales Ledger
2. Assisting Accounts Receivable with the daily Invoicing
3. Assisting Accounts Receivable with daily Credit Control Duties
4. Review and verify supplier invoices
5. Enter and upload purchase invoices into system including matching to Stock inputs
6. Prepare and submit payment requests
7. Reconcile accounts payable transactions to supplier statements on a monthly basis
8. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
9. CORRESPOND WITH SUPPLIERS AND RESPOND TO INQUIRIES
10. Maintain supplier record
11. INTRASTAT AND ANY OTHER REVENUE COMMISSIONER REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
12. End of month reporting duties
13. Checking and ordering office stationery supplies
