Join to apply for the Finance & Economics Consultant role at Arup in Ireland. This opportunity involves advising on investments shaping a sustainable built environment within Arup’s multidisciplinary Mobility, Cities, and Infrastructure Advisory group.
As part of our Finance & Economics team, you will deliver high-quality advisory services, using robust analysis and tangible data to help clients make informed decisions that drive sustainable and resilient outcomes for communities.
Responsibilities
* Develop compelling economic and financial business cases, investment strategies, and financial models to provide strategic advisory to clients.
* Lead public sector business case appraisals and evaluations in line with guidance such as the Irish Public Spending Code and Infrastructure Guidelines.
* Deliver insightful economic research and high-quality analysis for internal and external clients to inform strategic decision-making.
* Provide expert due diligence and technical advisory services for investment, acquisition, or lending decisions.
Qualifications & Requirements
* At least five years of experience in a consulting or advisory role with a proven track record presenting analytical reports to senior and C-suite clients.
* Experience building and managing financial and economic models, including advanced spreadsheet modelling.
* Significant experience preparing government-side business cases to justify investment decisions, ideally with knowledge of the Irish Public Spending Code.
* Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in economics, finance, business, or a related field.
* Strong critical thinking and ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a diverse and inclusive team.
