We're now looking for a Goods Inwards Supervisor to lead the managing all incoming goods and returns. This is a hands-on role where you'll ensure operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently - and where your ideas for improvement will be encouraged and valued.
The Goods Inwards Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the processing of all incoming goods, returns, and vendor deliveries. This role includes managing the Goods Inwards team, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high standards, while continuously improving operations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supervision of the Goods Inwards Team to ensure all vendor goods, commercial, parts and private returns are processed and received into the business in line with the Goods Inwards and returns processes.
* Adjust daily work schedules to meet business demands.
* People management responsibilities including training, planning, and assigning daily work.
* Maintain time and attendance system and holiday planning.
* Recommend measures to improve quality of service and increase efficiency of department.
* Continuously improve goods inwards operations using lean enterprise practices.
* Manage process and material flows to maximize utilisation of the warehouse.
* Organise replacement skips for mixed materials, cardboard and wood in a timely manner.
* Escalation of errors from vendor deliveries to procurement.
* Assist the inventory department with warehouse-to-warehouse transfers, cycle counting and maintaining stock accuracy.
* Maintain records of forklift checks daily/weekly.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain and enforce health and safety protocols across the warehouse, ensuring all team members adhere to safety regulations, conduct regular safety inspections, and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
* Team Performance Management: Oversee the performance of warehouse staff, providing guidance, conducting regular performance reviews, offering feedback, and addressing any issues to ensure productivity, accuracy, and morale are maintained at a high level.
* Operational Support Across Multiple Locations: Provide support to other warehouses when required, ensuring smooth operations and effective coverage during peak times or staff shortages, while maintaining consistency in quality and efficiency across all locations.
* Maintain Warehouse Standards: Ensure the warehouse is consistently organised, clean, and efficient, including supervising inventory management and ensuring that all operations comply with company policies and health and safety standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics management/co-ordination.
Previous experience in a supervisory capacity in a distribution/fulfilment environment is essential.
Prior knowledge of operations, warehouse management and transportation management.
Experience using WHS would be a distinct advantage (NAV).
Current Counterbalance and Bendi license are a requirement.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task if required.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a very fast paced working environment.
Quality awareness.
Excellent communication skills, with an excellent level of verbal and written English.
Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
* Onsite: 7.30am- 4.30pm Monday to Friday- Occasional Overtime
