ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Actively contribute to business improvement projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure all products meet required quality, safety, and legal standards, fully complying with customer specifications, and guaranteeing that products placed on the market are safe, compliant, and traceable.
* Perform site risk assessments as required.
* Provide technical guidance and expertise on food safety
* Effectively collaborate across teams to address business challenges in a fast-paced environment.
* Support the Technical Manager in the management, implementation, and monitoring of the Food Safety Management System, including the HACCP plan.
* Participate in HACCP/TACCP teams to support site-wide food safety objectives.
* Carry out departmental audits, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented and closed out in collaboration with the quality team and other departments.
* Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, implement corrective and preventive actions, monitor trends, and communicate findings effectively to the team.
* Conduct internal system audits, ensuring issues are addressed through root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and timely closeouts
* Undertake additional duties as directed by the Line Manager.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
* Level 8 Qualification in a food-related discipline.
* Knowledge and experience in food Manufacturing. safety within a food manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of food safety, legislation, and compliance with EU & UK regulations.
* Familiarity with third party audits such as BRCGS
* Knowledge and experience with customer audits.
