Want to shape the future of cancer care?
Our client, a leading medical technology company, is building products that make cancer treatment more human. Their technology helps clinicians deliver safer, smarter care and helps patients live better during treatment, not just get through it.
They’re now hiring a Senior Systems Architect to own and evolve the cloud backbone behind their next-generation medical device and digital health platforms.
This is a senior, hands‑on role with real influence. You’ll design systems that are used by clinicians, hospitals, and patients — and you’ll see the impact of your work in the real world.
About the Company
Our client designs connected medical devices and digital platforms used in oncology settings worldwide. Their products span wearable technology, cloud platforms, and at‑home treatment solutions, all built to the highest regulatory and security standards.
They’re growing fast, but staying focused on quality, patient safety, and doing things properly.
What you’ll do
You’ll act as the internal cloud architecture expert, shaping how everything fits together.
Day to day, you’ll:
Design and evolve a secure, scalable cloud architecture across production, staging, and monitoring
Build HIPAA‑compliant cloud environments using AWS
Lead API gateway strategy for hospitals, pharmacies, EHR systems, and partners
Architect end‑to‑end systems connecting mobile apps, web platforms, and connected devices
Design fault‑tolerant, event‑driven data flows and synchronisation layers
Own CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and secure deployment practices
Work closely with engineering, regulatory, and clinical teams to ensure compliance and reliability
You won’t just draw diagrams — you’ll help turn them into working, production‑ready systems.
We’re looking for someone who…
Enjoys solving complex problems and thinking at system level
Takes ownership and moves things forward without being asked twice
Communicates clearly with engineers, clinicians, and non‑technical stakeholders
Is comfortable giving and receiving honest, constructive feedback
Likes building things that actually matter
What you’ll bring
Essential experience:
7+ years in cloud infrastructure, systems architecture, or DevOps roles
Strong hands‑on experience with AWS
Designing highly available, scalable cloud systems
Microservices, distributed systems, or large‑scale backend platforms
Security, encryption, identity and access management
Working in regulated environments (ISO 13485, HIPAA, GDPR, or similar)
Degree in Software Engineering or a related field
Nice to have (not essential):
Healthcare or EHR integrations (HL7, FHIR)
IoT or connected medical devices
Designing AI‑driven microservices or data pipelines
Deploying AI models in compliant cloud environments
What’s in it for you
Flexible working hours and strong work‑life balance
Hybrid working options
Benefits package
Modern equipment provided
A chance to shape products used globally in real clinical settings
Clear ownership, autonomy, and progression as the company grows
