Role Overview
We’re looking for a Technical Lead well‑versed in Confluent Cloud to steer the development of robust data streaming and processing systems. In this role, you’ll shape solutions, mentor a learning‑oriented team, and directly impact client scalability. The position is ideal for those who thrive on ownership, swift delivery, and high‑quality software.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and development of data streaming and processing solutions
Design and implement scalable, high‑performance systems using Kafka / Confluent Cloud
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers
Take ownership of end‑to‑end delivery of streaming solutions
Ensure high‑quality software delivery in a fast‑paced environment
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine technical solutions and requirements
Drive best practices in system design, performance, and reliability
Required skills & qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Extensive experience with data streaming platforms such as Kafka
Technical leadership experience
Experience with scalable, distributed software systems
Hands‑on experience configuring and managing Kafka clusters
Expertise in Kafka Connect for integrating with various data sources and sinks
Knowledge of Kafka security protocols and best practices
Ability to design and optimise Kafka topics, partitions, and consumer groups
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools specific to Kafka and Confluent Platform
Knowledge of cloud services from AWS, Azure, or GCP in relation to Kafka deployment
